Ok let me just start by saying that I love these two. I mean I knew they were awesome from the moment we met, but now that I’ve photographed their Fort Langley engagement session, I can officially say I’m obsessed (that’s not creepy right?).

Britt and Ryan met while playing soccer at Kwantlen in 2009. Although they played for the same school they didn’t officially get to chatting until they sat together on a road trip up to Prince George with their soccer teams. Clearly bus rides that last for hours are a recipe for magic, because six years later Britt and Ryan are engaged and planning an incredible two part wedding!

Immediately upon meeting Britt and Ryan you can tell that they are the perfect balance for one another. Britt is selfless, caring, and enthusiastic, while Ryan is easygoing, hilarious, and encouraging.  Britt grew up in a family full of teachers and athletes, and Ryan grew up in a close knit family where spontaneous weekend family BBQ’s are the norm. Oh and did I mention they’re SUPER competitive? I’ve never seen a couple compete with one another while I’m setting up shots, but I seriously loved it and laughed non-stop.

Britt and Ryan brought such an incredible energy and playfulness to their engagement session, and I honestly did not want it to end. I have frame after frame of them laughing together, horsing around, making faces, and just being themselves and enjoying one another’s company. They were just so easy to photograph, which makes sense really because Britt’s smile it totally genuine and contagious, and Ryan has the GQ thing dialled.

Keep your eyes peeled for their wedding next year which will be held at the VanDusen Botanical Gardens, it’s going to be gorgeous and so full of love. And let’s be honest, I’m as excited to photograph the wedding as I am to meet their families, because these two definitely come from good peoples.
