I liked Jacquie and Dustin from the second we sat down for their coffee consultation a few months ago (NOTHING wins me over like some playful banter and sarcasm) and from the moment they booked in their wedding with me I’ve been super excited about their engagement photos. The evening did not disappoint: Jacquie and Dustin are wonderful company, the light was perfect, their outfits were adorable, and our locations turned out to be pretty quiet despite the gorgeous weather! #winning

(Actually that’s somewhat of a false statement. The Lions Gate Bridge is REALLY noisy, what with all the traffic passing by and the numerous honks and catcalls they received. Oh and don’t forget the fender bender that we witnessed. What can I say, my client’s are traffic stoppers.)

Jacquie and Dustin met 9 years ago on a house boat stag/stagette when two of their friends were getting married. Dustin immediately noticed Jacquie and started playfully harassing her (which proves that you only tease the ones you love). Five years later they went on a Mexico trip with friends, and when they got home they went on their first date and have been inseparable ever since! They’ve got a sweet pup named Charlie, they’re both ambitious and funny, and they’ve travelled to some pretty fun places like Vegas, Play del Carman and Barbados, which is where Dustin proposed last November!

I cannot wait for this wedding in September at The Permanent. I know it’s going to be hilarious, heart warming and an all around amazing moment in time. I’m honoured to be the one to document it!

PS. How good do these two look! Jacquie and Dustin went with a very simple and classic look, and it couldn’t have been more beautiful. The casual suit, the black skirt, and Jacquie’s gorgeous hair and makeup by Jasmine Hoffman. Nailed it. They look dressed up and elegant, but in a way that was relaxed and fun!
