Heather and Ian met through friends and started to really hang out during the 2010 Olympics right here in Vancouver. Fast forward to now and they’re engaged and getting married this month at the UBC Botanical Garden. #sostoked. I love Heather and Ian’s Gastown engagement photos and I had so much fun spending a sunny evening with them acting as their personal paparazzi!!

I send out these questionnaires with random questions to all my clients so I can get to know them a bit better before their engagement session. Questions about travel, personalities, and if they like sweet or salty treats better. When I received Heather’s response to these questions I grew even more #stoked to spend time with them and photograph their wedding. Her responses told me so much about them: they want to keep keep growing and exploring the world together, they love to experience new things and overcome challenges, they’re ambitious, they’re critical thinkers and they’ve got a solid sense of humour.

At this point we’ve photographed their engagement photos and done their pre wedding location scout and let me tell you, I CAN’T WAIT FOR THIS WEDDING! I’m honoured to document their love story and capture the moments that lead them into their next adventure together: marriage!
